The varsity girls capped off the regular season with a 60-25 win at Buckhannon-Upshur. The Patriots finished the season 18-3.
Junior Bella Abernathy led the way with 18 points. Senior Shanley Woods added 14, while junior Lindsey Garrison finished with 12. Senior Kieran Johnson grabbed a team-high 13 rebounds, 8 of them coming in the first quarter.
The varsity team will face the winner of the John Marshall vs. Brooke Sectional Semifinal on Friday, February 28.
JV RECAP
The JV team’s season ended on Friday with a 49-24 win at Buckhannon-Upshur. The team finished with a 17-2 record.
Mary Derrow, Sophie Abraham, and Abby Barki led the way with 11 apiece. All 9 JV players scored in the final game.
