The varsity girls basketball team caught fire in the 3rd quarter to secure a win at George Washington, 75-59.

Four Patriots scored double-figures led by junior Lindsey Garrison who knocked down 6 3-pointers on her way to a team-high 22 points. Senior Shanley Woods scored 20 and was a perfect 6-6 from the charity stripe. Senior Kieran Johnson stuffed the stat sheet with 16 points, 11 rebounds, and 5 assists. Junior Asia Roby rounded out the scoring with 12 points and 4 assists.

Junior Lindsey Garrison knocked in 6 3-pointers to finish with 18 points. Senior Shanley Woods followed with 5 of her own to finish with 15. Junior Bella Abernathy had 10 points and pulled down 9 rebounds.

The JV team defeated Huntington 52-28.

Freshmen Jocelynn Walker and Sophie Abraham led the way with 14 and 12 apiece. Sophie also handed out 4 assists and collected 5 steals on the night.

The varsity returns to action on Wednesday, January 22 when they host University.
